Operating in McAllen, TX, ASAPPS is a full-service print shop that offers high-quality graphics, signage, printed apparel, designs, and promotional items. ASAPPS is your source for promotional and advertising specialties as well as traditional printing services. Business Passed Down to the 2nd Generation
In 1998, Mr. O’Connor sold a 1984 Grand Wagoneer named “Woody.” The car was beloved and belonged to his son, Sean. Mr. O’Connor sold and traded the car for an ABDick Offset Printing Press, which is still being used today. After the abrupt introduction to the business, Sean took on the task of learning how to utilize different print software, printing, and aiding his father with designing. He wasn't too fond of working in the business until he entered college. “I was driving with my friends and saw a familiar design on a delivery service truck and realized- that was my design!” says Sean. After seeing the logo design he created printed on a truck, he found a whole new appreciation and respect for the business his father created. In hopes of rebranding and representing the business as a quick one-stop printing solution, on December 12, 2005, Sean took on the family’s newly founded business and renamed it ASAP Printing Solutions. Thus, bringing a new tradition of a family-owned-and-operated printing business to the O’Connors.
HISTORY
Originally Founded in 1996
ASAP Printing Solutions is a 2nd generation family-owned and operated organization. The organization began as a small local print shop under the name MFS Group Printing. Jose “Willie” O’Connor, the original owner and founder, first opened the shop in 1996 at 310 South 23rd Street, McAllen.

Mr. O’Connor was a hardworking and determined opportunist who migrated from Honduras, Central America to the United States. He joined the army, fought in the Vietnam War, and righteously earned his U.S. citizenship. He had a headstrong-go-getting attitude, took pride in helping others, and enjoyed working. As a promotional product distributor and merchant service provider, Mr. O’Connor realized the potential the Rio Grande Valley possessed. With the growth of businesses rapidly developing, the demand for printing promotional services increased.

Mr. O’Connor decided to start a printing business that provided more than a single service. His goal was to create a business that provided all services including printing signs, apparel, promos, and more, to make the official one-stop print shop for all printing needs in McAllen, TX.
Disaster Struck
COVID
At the beginning of 2020 during the middle of expanding ASAP Printing Solutions, the pandemic struck. Determined to stay open, ASAPPS became an essential business by printing for government agencies. The shop remained open and implemented safety measures such as having several office operations and members working remotely and continuing production at the shop.
Hurricane
As pandemic health procedures continued, Hurricane Hanna rolled into the McAllen area in July 2020. The hurricane caused catastrophic damage to the business. The building’s roof flew off, inventory was lost, jobs were destroyed, and equipment was wiped out due to the immense damage; however, ASAPPS did not let this deter them from pursuing their goals. The shop closed for a month and reopened as a remote-work-from-home business for the rest of the year as they began repairs and recovery from the natural disaster. By April 2022, ASAPPS remodeled and opened the shop at a new location, on 2012 Orchid Ave, McAllen. “We could not have recovered without our loyal customers and their positive support,” - The Community.
